TREVOR BARTON (Chairman)
Trevor is an Ex-Chief Superintendent of the Greater Manchester Police. He retired in July 1995 after 32 years police service and set up the Company shortly afterwards. He is the holder of the Police long service and good conduct medal. His certificate of service is endorsed 'Exemplary'. He had considerable experience in the CID Z-Cars, Communications, Football Intelligence, Obscene Publications, Air Support, Licensing, Public Order and Covert Operations.
Trevor is a member of ASIS, the Security Institute and the Association of Security Consultants.

In the 2009 birthday honours list Trevor was awarded the MBE for services to voluntary sport in the Borough of Wigan.

   
   

PETER AARONSON (Vice-Chairman)
Peter is likewise a former Superintendent of the Greater Manchester Police who completed his 30 year's service in November 2005. He also received the Police long service and good conduct medal and was commended on 12 separate occasions during his career. He has considerable experience in combating robbery particularly CIT crime, in covert operations, VIP protection and major sporting events. He has been the ground commander at both Manchester United and Manchester City. Peter is a member of EPIC and IAATI.

   

DAVID RYAN (Non-Executive Director)
David Ryan has joined Professional Witnesses Ltd as a non-Executive Director. Trevor Barton, the Chairman, said :- “David adds a great deal to the Company in terms of specialist knowledge but also in strategic thinking and planning. Executive protection, lone worker protection, tracking and kidnap are difficult to think through and then manage but David really can help. The other areas which we can deploy to support this leads to a nice rounded package.”

David is a former career Detective of New Scotland yard, with considerable experience of “crimes in action” covert technical surveillance, undercover policing and infiltration management He served three tours on the Flying Squad, being involved in 28 pavement ambushes. He has over 25 commendations, including a Royal Human Society Award for gallantry, the Police Long Service Medal and the Queens Jubilee Medal. He was a Hostage Negotiator co-ordinator trained in the UK and a graduate of the FBI course at Quantico, Virginia and has been involved in the resolution of hostage taking overseas. He retired in 2003 and was retained on the Directing staff of the UK National Negotiators Course for 5 years. He has considerable experience in intelligence, and for a three year contract was the “Director of Intelligence” at the DVLA. Governments around the world have used him to review and develop their Policing needs in countering Organised Crime Networks. He continues to provide kidnap resilience and immunisation training to major Banks and Retail organisations throughout the UK and Eire, and mentors and supports Crisis Management Teams through extortion, product contamination and other critical issues. David is a member and Treasurer of EPIC and IAATI.
